Stuart was called to the Bar in 2003 and specialises in high-value and complex clinical negligence and personal injury litigation. He is recognised as a leading junior in the legal directories. Stuart is instructed by leading personal injury and clinical negligence solicitors with a national reputation, undertaking both Claimant and Defendant work.

In clinical negligence Stuart is particularly experienced in claims involving delay in diagnosis of cancer, brain injury and those resulting in death, fatal accident dependency claims. In personal injury he specialises in claims under the Animals Act 1971.

Stuart sits as a Recorder and Deputy District Judge on the North Eastern Circuit, and is the elected Personal Injury Bar Association circuit representative and sits on PIBA’s Executive Committee at a national level.

Leila was called to the Bar in 2005 and is a specialist in inquests and inquiries, clinical negligence and serious injury work. She is ranked as a leading junior in both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 for clinical negligence and inquests and public inquiries. Leila acts for claimants and defendants, including private individuals, public authorities and government departments.

Leila is currently instructed on behalf of the surviving victims in the Nottingham Attacks Public Inquiry. She has been a member of the Attorney General’s A Panel since 2010 and sits on PIBA’s Executive and EDI Committees. Leila also serves as an Assistant Coroner in two Coronial areas and is a Recorder sitting in crime on the North Eastern Circuit.
