12KBW is delighted to welcome Thomas Herbert as a new member of chambers.

Thomas was called to the Bar in 2014. He specialises in clinical negligence, inquests & inquiries, industrial disease and personal injury litigation. Thomas is highly ranked in the legal directories for these areas of law. His specialisms are fortified by his significant experience in commercial dispute resolution, costs and insurance work.

He is regularly instructed in complex and high-value matters, often unled against silks, and he is a particularly experienced appeal advocate. He was appointed directly to the Attorney General’s Regional B Panel in 2023.

Thomas has a scientific academic background in chemistry, which informs his practice, and he is noted by the directories to have a “remarkable capacity to process and distil complex medical information into clear, understandable terms” and to be “fantastic at thinking outside the box and working to bring experts together in conference”.

Steven Snowden KC, Head of Chambers said: “We are delighted to welcome Thomas to 12KBW. His stellar reputation further strengthens 12KBW’s standing as a leading set for personal injury, clinical negligence and industrial disease.
