12KBW is delighted to welcome Bébhinn Murphy as a new member of Chambers.

Bébhinn specialises in sports disputes and personal injury law.

Bébhinn’s sports disputes practice sees her instructed on behalf of sports governing bodies, athletes and clubs in disciplinary and regulatory hearings, and in selection matters.

Bébhinn is also qualified as a barrister in Ireland and has over ten years’ experience in practice.

Due to the nature of sports disputes, her practice involves instructions from overseas. She regularly presents on behalf of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board at hearings addressing fitness to be licensed, as well as animal welfare, adverse analytical findings and veterinary matters.

Bébhinn accepts personal injury work which she has practised in since pupillage in Ireland and has experience in both bringing and defending claims.

She is trained to accept direct instructions from the public under the Bar’s public access scheme.

Steven Snowden KC, Head of Chambers, said: “I am delighted that Bébhinn has joined us at 12KBW.  Her expertise in sports regulatory and disciplinary work fits perfectly with the work of our sports team here. We are very glad that she has chosen to make us her home at the English Bar and look forward to sharing her future success as a member of these Chambers.”
