Isabella Ponsonby
Isabella began pupillage in October 2026. She is interested in gaining experience in all core areas of Chamber’s practice, with a particular interest in personal injury, clinical negligence, inquests and sport.
Before pupillage, Isabella worked as a Judicial Clerk to Lord Justice Edis, where she worked on appellate cases across all divisions. In this role, she assisted with legal research across a range of practice areas and gained insight into judicial decision making.
Isabella obtained First Class Honours at Newcastle University in History and Politics with French and extra credits modules in Arabic. She then undertook the GDL and BPC at the University of Law supported by scholarships from the Inner Temple where she achieved top marks in her cohort.
Isabella is a black belt in karate, and in her spare time enjoys playing netball and the piano.
