12KBW is delighted to welcome Annahita Moradi as a new member of chambers. Annahita Moradi was called to the Bar in 2016 and specialises in inquests, inquiries and international law.

She welcomes instructions in associated clinical negligence, abuse and human rights claims.

Annahita is regularly instructed in medical inquests. This includes a wide range of disciplines and services including primary care, general and emergency medicine, nursing and midwifery, psychiatry and pharmaceutical care. In public inquiries, she has been instructed on the Undercover Policing Inquiry and the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry.

Annahita has expertise in issues of human trafficking, modern slavery, sexual abuse and torture. She has acted for a multitude of human trafficking and modern slavery victims in immigration detention cases and Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority claims.

Annahita has considerable experience representing individuals and families before the UK’s Foreign Office, the UK Foreign Minister, the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention and the UN Committee Against Torture in cases concerning torture in prisons abroad and risks of torture.
