We are delighted to congratulate John-Paul Swoboda on winning Personal Injury Junior of the Year at this year’s Legal 500 Bar Awards.

John-Paul has been a personal injury barrister for 17 years and has expertise in serious injury, asbestos litigation, international litigation, clinical negligence, professional negligence and inquests.

He practices in all aspects of personal injury law and receives instructions from respected national firms representing both claimants and defendant insurers. He undertakes high value claims of the utmost severity, appearing in the High Court and Court of Appeal. In relation to asbestos claims, he is instructed by most, if not all, well-regarded claimant firms in the field.

This year’s Legal 500 said he was “not afraid of difficult cases” and “is extremely good with clients, has great tactical acumen and is an excellent speaker.”

The Legal 500 selects finalists based on feedback from lay clients, instructing solicitors, submissions from the Bar, interviews with leading private practice and in-house lawyers, and the Legal 500 team of researchers. The awards celebrate the finest barristers, chambers, clerks and legal expertise.

John-Paul was among a number of 12KBW barristers shortlisted in personal injury and employment categories, with the set shortlisted across six categories this year.
